At MI-Flues we want to make sure that our customers (and our customers' customers) get the products that are right for them, so we have several choices of high-quality products, including our extensive twin wall ranges for external installations.
MI-TLPro MI-TLPro is an insulated twin wall system constructed from 0.4mm thick 316L-grade (internal liner) and 304-grade (outer case) stainless steel walls with 25mm of auger-injected mineral wool (at a mean density of 250kg/m³) as the insulation material and an eight-barb quick-lock jointing system. It is suitable for gas, oil, wood and coal appliances sustaining a negative pressure system.
The TLPro components, for use with solid fuel and gas/oil appliances, have a maximum working temperature of 450°C, a 50mm distance to combustibles and are available in a choice of four internal diameters ranging from 125mm to 200mm (5inch-8inch).
MI-KC MI-KC is an installer-friendly, push-fit twin wall system used for gas, oil and solid fuel appliance installations that can be used as part of an internal or external installation. This twin wall system can be used in whole, or in part to complete a flexible flue liner installation where a masonary chimney is only partially present.
Components of the KC range fit together using a 'push-fit' joining system, have a working temperature of 600°C, a 60mm clearance to combustibles and are secured with a locking band to achieve a leak-proof seal.
MI-TWPro Similar to the KC range, MI-TWPro is a twin wall system comprising of an outer and inner wall of 0.4mm stainless steel with insulation between the two. The insulation material for the TWPro system is high density ceramic blanket (as opposed to the mineral wool used in KC) and the clearance to combusitibles is 50mm. This twin wall system is interchangeable with the KC twin wall system and comes with a 25-year manufacturer's warranty.
MI-Dynamic 2 MI-Dynamic 2 is a twist-lock fitted twin wall system designed to cope with both positive and negative pressure conditions, allowing it to be used with condensing appliances as well as wood, coal, gas and oil (please note that silicone gaskets are required for use with condensing appliances).
It is suitable for either internal or external installations, has a 50mm distance to combustibles and a maximum working temperature of 600°C (without silicone gaskets) or 200°C (with silicone gaskets). The two Inox stainless steel walls are 0.5mm thick and have 25mm of mineral wool between them at a minimum density of 180kg/m³.
Insta-Lock (IL) Our IL twin wall is an air-insulated gas vent system designed for use with gas appliances with zero or negative pressure systems. The 0.3mm inner wall is constructed from aluminium and the outer wall (also 0.3mm) is fabricated from Zalutite (steel coated in zinc and aluminium) with a 6mm incorporated air gap between the two.
This twin wall system has a 50mm distance to combustibles and fits together using a 'twist-lock' method, meaning that the components are pushed together and twisted to engage the locking device, providing a secure and firm connection.
Anki-Pumice Concrete Anki's Pumice Concrete chimney systems are constructed from volcanic rock from Iceland's Hekla volcano. A strong yet lightweight material, the pumice concrete chimneys can be assembled single-handedly and have minimal thermal expansion, therefore reducing the possibility of cracking or structural damage.
Anki Pumice can be used with any fuel type, and for open fires, stoves and boilers, (however, pumice's natural insulation properties make it ideal for wood burning stoves).
