DW Twin Wall is a prefabricated chimney system suitable for gas, diesel, wood and coal. It is also suitable for condensing applications by using the systems rubber sealing rings.
The specially designed twin wall insulated flue liner is constructed from 316 grade inner and a 304 grade outer using 0.4mm stainless steel and sealed with laser welded joints.
The DW system is insulated using 30mm rockwool there is no thermal bridge therefore creating insulation continuity throughout the system
DW can be used on the following fuel applications:
Gas, Wood, Coal, other Solid Fuels, Diesel, Condensing Applications*
* when installed with suitable sealing rings.
DW Twin Wall has obtained the CE mark by the TÜV in Munich. The CE MARK symbol, obligatory since April 2005 and certifies that a stainless steel chimney is manufactured in accordance with the EN 1856-2.
DW is HETAS approved
DW has successfully passed the outside and inside fire resistance tests for both vertical and horizontal installations, according to the European standard EN 1366-1
DW Designations are
EN1856-1 T600 N1 W V2 L50040 G60
EN1856-1 T450 N1 W V2 L50040 O40
EN1856-1 T160 N1 W V2 L50040 G60
The Fire Rating is EI 120 for outside fire and EI 90 for inside fire
It is important to note that DW does not come with locking bands to link the separate parts together. They must be ordered separately. The idea is that you can use a wall support that has an integrated locking band, thus doing away with a separate locking band and reducing cost.
To calculate the number of locking bands required simply total up the number of interlocking parts (pipes, bends, adapters, etc.) Each one of these will need a locking band. Please note a 90 Tee or 135 Tee will require 2 locking bands. Now subtract the amount of integrated wall supports you have ordered.
Provision should be made for inspecting and cleaning the chimney. This is particularly important on solid fuel applications.
It is recommended that chimneys serving solid fuel appliances be swept and maintained as frequently as necessary but at least once a year.
